MOTORIZED SCREENS AND RETRACTABLE AWNINGS
FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings for Puget Sound homeowners who want to control sun, wind, bugs, and rain without giving up the outdoor feel.

the difference
Most Puget Sound homeowners lose their outdoor space to rain in October, bugs in May, and glare every July afternoon. FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings that handle all three so your outdoor space stays usable every month of the year.

The right solution depends on your space, your structure, and how you use it.

The patented dual-pull magnetic screen system. No zippers. No jams. Solar, insect, or vinyl screen material. Best for enclosed structures where weather protection and bug control are the priority.

Retractable shade and weather protection without a permanent structure. Best for spaces where flexible coverage is the priority and a full enclosure is not needed.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
FSI installs MagnaTrack screens and retractable awnings, both custom manufactured to your opening and built to perform in this climate. Here is what changes when they are installed.
01 · BENEFIT
The right system blocks bugs, cuts glare, and keeps wind-driven rain out. Your space stays usable whatever the weather is doing.

FSI screens and awnings seal against wind-driven rain. The space stays dry and usable when October arrives.
03 · BENEFIT
Every system is custom manufactured to your exact dimensions. No gaps. No exposed hardware. Looks like it was designed in because it was.
04 · BENEFIT
Solar screen material and awning fabric cut UV and afternoon glare while keeping sight lines open. The space stays bright without cooking you out of it.
05 · BENEFIT
FSI specifies systems with limited lifetime warranties built for Pacific Northwest wind and moisture. No zipper tracks. No systems that fail after two seasons.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.

QUESTIONS?
Motorized retractable awning project costs vary by awning width, projection depth, fabric selection, and smart home integration requirements. Awnings are typically less expensive than pergola installations because there is no structural foundation, no post system, and no roof fabrication involved — the scope is limited to the wall mounting and the motorized awning assembly itself. However, custom wide awnings with premium fabric, integrated wind sensors, and smart home integration are meaningful investments. FSI provides a complete written proposal for every awning project with one number covering materials, motor system, installation, and integration. Contact FSI to schedule a consultation and discuss your awning application and budget.
R-BLADE add-ons available through FSI include: MagnaTrack motorized screen enclosure systems that convert the covered space into a three-season room, LED recessed lighting and LED strip lighting integrated into the pergola beam soffit, fan beam fixtures that combine airflow with integrated LED, privacy wall panels in glass or aluminum louver configurations, infrared heaters from Infratech and Bromic in ceiling-mount or post-mount configurations, outdoor TV installation with concealed cable runs, and patio and landscape speaker systems. Most FSI customers add at least screens and lighting to the base pergola installation — the combination of overhead coverage, screen enclosure, and LED lighting is what creates an outdoor room that is genuinely usable year-round.
A motorized retractable awning is a fabric shade system mounted to an exterior wall or soffit that extends outward on hinged aluminum arm assemblies when deployed and retracts flush against the mounting surface when not in use. The extension and retraction are controlled by an electric motor operated by remote, wall switch, or smart home app. Furrion motorized awnings — the brand FSI installs — use an internal tubular motor system housed in the roller housing at the mounting point. When deployed, the awning arms extend outward at a downward pitch and the fabric unfurls from the roller to its full extension, creating shade over a door, window, or outdoor seating area below. When retracted, the fabric rolls back onto the roller and the arms fold flush to the wall housing. Furrion is an established outdoor and marine technology brand known for motorized awning systems engineered for exterior durability.
FSI's complete outdoor living package is a fully managed outdoor construction engagement that covers every element of an outdoor living space under one contract. The standard scope includes: full design consultation and property walkthrough, 3D design renderings of the complete finished space, structural base coordination including deck construction or concrete subcontractor coordination, Azenco pergola system supply and installation, MagnaTrack motorized screen installation, custom outdoor kitchen with aluminum-welded frame, cabinetry, countertop, appliances, and finish facing, outdoor technology integration including TV, patio speakers, landscape speakers, infrared heaters, LED lighting, and smart home integration, permit coordination across all applicable trades, and a final walkthrough and system activation. One team manages every element from design approval to the day FSI hands you the keys.
When one contractor manages the full outdoor scope, every design decision is made with full knowledge of every other element in the space. The kitchen is designed to wrap the pergola post — which is only possible if the same team knows both the kitchen dimensions and the post location before either is fabricated. The MagnaTrack screens are sized to the pergola opening dimensions — which only works if the same team specified both. The technology wiring is run inside the structural framing — which only happens if the technology is planned before the structure is completed. None of these integrations happen by accident. They happen because one team owns the design, the materials, and the installation of every element. The alternative — hiring separate vendors for the pergola, the kitchen, the screens, and the technology — produces a backyard where each element was done by someone who never spoke to the others. FSI eliminates that sequence entirely.
