SERVICES / OUTDOOR TECHNOLOGY
FSI installs outdoor displays, audio, and smart home integration for Puget Sound homeowners. Wired during construction. Controlled from one place.

the difference
Cables on the outside of the frame. A TV not rated for outdoor use. Speakers in the wrong spots. This is what happens when technology gets handed off to a sub who was never on site during the build. FSI scopes the full technology layer with the structure. Everything is concealed, integrated, and controlled from one place.

Not every product sold for outdoor use is built for the Pacific Northwest. FSI specifies displays, speakers, and control systems that hold up in cold, wet conditions and perform the way your investment deserves.

Your outdoor display should still work in two years.
Standard indoor TVs have no UV protection, no weatherproofing, and limited brightness for daylight viewing. They fail outdoors within two seasons. FSI specifies outdoor-rated displays only because the display needs to survive direct moisture, temperature swings, and Pacific Northwest UV exposure.
Every display is matched to your space's sun exposure and viewing angles before it is ordered. You get a screen specified for where it is going, not just one that fits the budget.

Your outdoor audio should cover the full space, not just one corner.
Speakers mounted after the structure is finished end up in the wrong spots. The result is one loud corner and dead zones across the rest of the space. FSI positions speakers for even coverage across the full footprint and wires everything during construction.
Patio ceiling speakers, landscape in-ground speakers, amplifier setup, and smart home integration are all handled by one team. No exposed cable runs. No mismatched apps. Everything integrated before FSI leaves.

Your outdoor space should be controlled from the same app you already use.
Five separate systems from five separate vendors is not smart home integration. It is five apps and five remotes. FSI integrates every outdoor component into some of the top smart home platforms—Lutron, Josh ai, Control4, Bond, or Sonos. Don't currently have a smart home system? FSI helps you find the right solution to fit your needs.
Screens, audio, lighting, and heaters all run from one interface. FSI handles the full integration in-house because the outdoor AV team and the smart home team are the same people.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
Available bundled with a new build or as a standalone install on an existing structure.
01 · BENEFIT
Most contractors install indoor TVs outdoors. They fail within two seasons. FSI specifies outdoor-rated displays only. Matched to your sun exposure and viewing angles before anything is ordered.
02 · BENEFIT
Speakers positioned for even coverage across the full space. Not one loud corner. Every speaker wired during construction. No exposed cable runs after the fact.
03 · BENEFIT
Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Sonos. Every outdoor system in one platform. Screens, audio, and lighting controlled from the same interface you use indoors. FSI handles the full integration in-house.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.
From First Call to Finished Space

Hosting crowds? Movie nights? Background music and lighting only? FSI asks the right questions to specify the right system for how you actually use the space.

Every component specified before anything is ordered. Display placement, speaker positioning, lighting zones, and smart home integration all mapped out. You see the full plan first.

Complete pricing for every component. Bundled with the main project or standalone. One price. No surprises.

Every component installed, wired, and integrated with your smart home. No exposed cables. No mismatched apps. One commissioned system before FSI leaves.

QUESTIONS?
Yes — Furrion motorized awnings can be integrated with smart home platforms for app-based, voice-controlled, and automated operation. The motor system is compatible with major smart home integration platforms. Common integrations include sunset deployment automation, weather-triggered retraction when wind sensors detect unsafe conditions, and scene-based operation where the awning deploys as part of an outdoor entertainment scene alongside lighting and audio. FSI handles the smart home integration as part of the awning installation where integration is included in the scope. Customers who have existing smart home systems should raise integration requirements during the consultation so the installation wiring is designed to accommodate the control connection from the start.
Yes — FSI can scope a phased project and has completed multi-phase engagements where the pergola and deck are built in one year and the kitchen, technology, and lighting are added in a subsequent phase. Phasing works best when it is planned from the beginning rather than decided after the first phase is complete. Planned phasing means the first phase is designed with the future phases in mind — the deck is engineered for the kitchen weight, the pergola framing includes the cable channels for future technology, and the structural footprint accommodates the kitchen dimensions. Unplanned phasing — where the homeowner decides to add a kitchen to an existing pergola that was not designed for it — often requires modifications to the existing work that would have been unnecessary if phasing had been planned at the start. Contact FSI during the initial consultation to discuss how phasing can work for your project and timeline.
Yes — MagnaTrack screens integrate with all major smart home platforms including Lutron, Savant, Control4, Crestron, and other Gaposa-compatible control systems. FSI handles the integration in-house as part of every installation. When integration is scoped during the build, the control wiring is run inside the structural framing and the screens appear in your existing smart home interface alongside your interior shades, lighting, and climate. You can schedule the screens to drop at sunset, raise with an alarm, or trigger with a weather automation rule. FSI's founding team built 20 years of alarm system and smart home integration experience before entering outdoor living. Wiring, integration, and programming are not subcontracted. They are handled by the same team installing the screens.
Yes — Infratech and Bromic infrared heaters both offer models with smart home control compatibility. Heaters can be integrated with Control4, Savant, Lutron, and other major platforms for app-based on/off control, scheduled operation, and scene-based activation. A common configuration: the outdoor evening scene activates the heaters along with the MagnaTrack screens dropping, the outdoor speakers coming on, and the lighting shifting to the ambient setting — one trigger from the app or the wall keypad initiates the full outdoor environment. FSI handles the heater installation, the wiring, and the integration into the existing smart home system.
Yes — all outdoor lighting FSI installs can be integrated with Control4, Savant, Lutron, and other major smart home platforms. Lighting zones are programmed for the way the space is used: entertainment scenes that bring the full outdoor area to full brightness, ambient scenes for dining or relaxing, pathway scenes triggered at sunset, and security lighting on a scheduled or motion-triggered basis. When outdoor lighting is integrated with the rest of the outdoor technology system — screens, heaters, speakers — you manage the full outdoor experience from a single interface. FSI handles the installation, the wiring, the programming, and the integration into the existing smart home system in one engagement. The goal is one app, one controller, one experience, not five separate systems from five separate vendors.
