SERVICES / PERGOLAS
FSI designs and builds complete outdoor living spaces for Puget Sound homeowners. One team. Pergola, kitchen, screens, and more — designed and built by one team that manages every trade in-house or through vetted partners.

the difference
A kit from a catalog is not a solution for the Pacific Northwest. FSI specifies and builds Azenco systems that are engineered for high wind loads, heavy rain, and the specific structural requirements of your property. We do not just assemble a box; we build the foundation for your entire outdoor room.

Every Azenco system uses the same 6060-T6 powder-coated aluminum and concealed hardware. The difference is how the roof behaves.

Freestanding modular pergola with manual louvers. No permit required in most Puget Sound jurisdictions.

The flagship system. Motorized louvers that seal against rain and open to sun on demand. Rain sensors close automatically.

Consistent shade and airflow with no moving parts. Patented screwless assembly and architectural fixed-slat design.

Solid insulated roof panels for maximum weather protection and temperature control. Solar panel compatible.

R-BLADE adjusts to the conditions on demand.
R-BREEZE holds the perfect angle every day.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
Every Azenco system FSI installs is specified for Pacific Northwest conditions. Here is what that means for how you use your space.
01 · BENEFIT
Not just July and August. The right structure overhead means October is not the end of your outdoor season.
02 · BENEFIT
Sealed louvers and integrated gutters route water through the posts to grade. No dripping. No pooling. No going inside.
03 · BENEFIT
Open for full sun. Closed for full protection. Every position in between, on demand from your phone.
04 · BENEFIT
Factory-finished aluminum. Concealed fasteners. No exposed bolts or cover plates. Clean lines from every angle.
05 · BENEFIT
Screens, kitchen, lighting, and heaters all mount to the same structure. Get the pergola right and the rest of the build follows.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.
From First Call to Finished Space

One call. Describe what you are looking to build. FSI asks the right questions about your property, sun exposure, and how the space gets used.

QUESTIONS?
Azenco pergola projects in the Puget Sound area typically range from $15,000 to $60,000 depending on model selection, square footage, mounting configuration, and scope of add-ons like screens, lighting, and heaters. The R-BLADE motorized system is the most common choice and carries a higher starting price than fixed models like the R-BREEZE or K-BANA. Freestanding installations on new concrete footings cost more than wall-mounted configurations on existing structures. FSI provides a complete written proposal before any work begins — no estimates, no per-hour billing, one number for the full scope. Contact FSI to schedule a free outdoor consultation and get a site-specific quote.
Pricing for a pergola project also depends on whether it is being combined with a deck build, outdoor kitchen, MagnaTrack screens, or technology integration. Bundled projects are often more cost-effective per element than separate engagements because material deliveries, permit pulls, and labor coordination are consolidated. If you are planning a full outdoor living space, ask FSI to scope the complete package during your initial consultation.
R-SHADE is available in the standard Azenco powder-coat color options. The powder-coat finish is applied at the factory and carries Azenco's finish guarantee. Color selection is an early decision in the design process because it affects the overall aesthetic of the outdoor space and should coordinate with the home's exterior paint, the outdoor kitchen finish, and any adjacent hardscape materials. FSI presents the color options during the design consultation and incorporates the selection into the 3D rendering so you see the finished appearance before any materials are ordered. Contact FSI for current color availability — Azenco's standard color options are subject to change by the manufacturer.
Yes — the R-SHADE's insulated sandwich panel system is fully waterproof. The panels are engineered and tested to meet High-Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements, a more demanding standard than typical residential weather certification. In the Pacific Northwest, where the rain load over a winter season is substantial, the R-SHADE operates with significant performance margin. The panels shed water to the integrated gutter system built into the structure's perimeter, and drainage exits at the posts in the same concealed manner as the R-BLADE system. Homeowners who want to use their outdoor kitchen, outdoor television, or outdoor living area in rain without any overhead exposure should consider the R-SHADE as the strongest available specification for overhead weather protection in the Azenco product line.
R-BLADE add-ons available through FSI include: MagnaTrack motorized screen enclosure systems that convert the covered space into a three-season room, LED recessed lighting and LED strip lighting integrated into the pergola beam soffit, fan beam fixtures that combine airflow with integrated LED, privacy wall panels in glass or aluminum louver configurations, infrared heaters from Infratech and Bromic in ceiling-mount or post-mount configurations, outdoor TV installation with concealed cable runs, and patio and landscape speaker systems. Most FSI customers add at least screens and lighting to the base pergola installation — the combination of overhead coverage, screen enclosure, and LED lighting is what creates an outdoor room that is genuinely usable year-round.
An Azenco certified installer has completed Azenco's manufacturer-required installation training program and is authorized to install Azenco products in compliance with the manufacturer's specifications and warranty requirements. It matters for two reasons. First, installation quality — Azenco pergolas are engineered systems with specific requirements for footing depth, post alignment, louver tension, motor calibration, and gutter integration. An uncertified installer does not have the training to execute those requirements correctly, and incorrect installation produces water intrusion, louver misalignment, motor failure, and warranty voids. Second, warranty coverage — the Azenco product warranty is backed by the certified installer network, and non-certified installers cannot provide the same coverage. FSI is Azenco-certified. FSI's own licensed employee team installs every system. No subcontracting of the installation itself.
