MOTORIZED SCREENS AND RETRACTABLE AWNINGS
FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings for Puget Sound homeowners who want to control sun, wind, bugs, and rain without giving up the outdoor feel.

the difference
Most Puget Sound homeowners lose their outdoor space to rain in October, bugs in May, and glare every July afternoon. FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings that handle all three so your outdoor space stays usable every month of the year.

The right solution depends on your space, your structure, and how you use it.

The patented dual-pull magnetic screen system. No zippers. No jams. Solar, insect, or vinyl screen material. Best for enclosed structures where weather protection and bug control are the priority.

Retractable shade and weather protection without a permanent structure. Best for spaces where flexible coverage is the priority and a full enclosure is not needed.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
FSI installs MagnaTrack screens and retractable awnings, both custom manufactured to your opening and built to perform in this climate. Here is what changes when they are installed.
01 · BENEFIT
The right system blocks bugs, cuts glare, and keeps wind-driven rain out. Your space stays usable whatever the weather is doing.
02 · BENEFIT
FSI screens and awnings seal against wind-driven rain. The space stays dry and usable when October arrives.
03 · BENEFIT
Every system is custom manufactured to your exact dimensions. No gaps. No exposed hardware. Looks like it was designed in because it was.
04 · BENEFIT
Solar screen material and awning fabric cut UV and afternoon glare while keeping sight lines open. The space stays bright without cooking you out of it.
05 · BENEFIT
FSI specifies systems with limited lifetime warranties built for Pacific Northwest wind and moisture. No zipper tracks. No systems that fail after two seasons.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.

QUESTIONS?
Furrion motorized awnings include a manufacturer warranty on the motor system, the structural components, and the fabric. Exact warranty terms should be confirmed with FSI at the time of proposal — manufacturer warranty terms can be updated and FSI confirms current coverage for every project. FSI adds a labor warranty on the installation. The practical performance of a well-installed Furrion awning in Pacific Northwest conditions — with appropriate wind sensor protection and proper retraction in high-wind conditions — is long-term without significant service requirements. The most common service events for motorized awnings in this climate are fabric cleaning, arm adjustment after extreme weather events, and motor system service after years of cycling. FSI services the awning systems it installs.
MagnaTrack offers a manufacturer warranty on their screen systems that the company describes as the industry's best — covering the screen fabric, the motor system, and the magnetic bottom rail assembly. FSI adds a labor warranty on the installation. Exact warranty terms for both the product and the labor warranty should be confirmed with FSI at the time of proposal. The self-correcting motorized system MagnaTrack builds around is designed to eliminate the service call frequency of standard motorized screens. The magnetic bottom rail, the dual-pull motor system, and the fabric quality together produce a system with a significantly lower service rate than competing products.
MagnaTrack is protected by two active United States patents — US Patent 9,719,292 and US Patent 11,421,474 — covering the dual-pull motorized screen system and the magnetic bottom rail assembly. Standard motorized screens use a single bottom rail that is weighted but not sealed. In any meaningful wind, the bottom of the screen lifts, gaps open at the base, and the screen fabric bows and flaps. The result is insects entering, wind-driven rain entering, and screens that eventually delaminate or tear at stress points. MagnaTrack's dual-pull system pulls from both the top and bottom simultaneously, keeping the fabric under even tension. The magnetic bottom rail locks the edge flush against the mounting track so there is no gap, no lift, and no flutter. In the Pacific Northwest, where spring and fall evenings come with persistent wind, this difference is material. FSI is MagnaTrack's preferred dealer in the Puget Sound region.
MagnaTrack screens are custom-fabricated to the specific opening dimensions of each installation. There is no maximum or minimum size limitation in the standard manufacturing range — the system is built to fit. Very wide single-screen openings may be addressed with a multi-panel configuration where two or more screen panels cover a wide opening with a center post or guide track between them. FSI measures the specific openings during the site visit and provides a complete proposal based on the actual dimensions. There is no standard size chart to reference — every MagnaTrack installation is a custom project.
MagnaTrack integrates with all major smart home platforms through the Gaposa-compatible motor system. Supported platforms include Lutron, Savant, Control4, and Crestron. When integrated, the screens appear in the existing smart home interface as controllable devices — operated individually, as a group, or as part of a scene that includes lighting, heaters, and audio. Common integrations include a sunset automation that drops the screens at dusk, a weather-triggered retract rule when wind exceeds a threshold, and an evening scene that drops screens, activates heaters, and adjusts lighting simultaneously. FSI handles the integration programming as part of the installation and commissioning process — the smart home integration is not a separate engagement subcontracted to a different company.
