MOTORIZED SCREENS AND RETRACTABLE AWNINGS
FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings for Puget Sound homeowners who want to control sun, wind, bugs, and rain without giving up the outdoor feel.

the difference
Most Puget Sound homeowners lose their outdoor space to rain in October, bugs in May, and glare every July afternoon. FSI installs motorized screens and retractable awnings that handle all three so your outdoor space stays usable every month of the year.

The right solution depends on your space, your structure, and how you use it.

The patented dual-pull magnetic screen system. No zippers. No jams. Solar, insect, or vinyl screen material. Best for enclosed structures where weather protection and bug control are the priority.

Retractable shade and weather protection without a permanent structure. Best for spaces where flexible coverage is the priority and a full enclosure is not needed.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
FSI installs MagnaTrack screens and retractable awnings, both custom manufactured to your opening and built to perform in this climate. Here is what changes when they are installed.
01 · BENEFIT
The right system blocks bugs, cuts glare, and keeps wind-driven rain out. Your space stays usable whatever the weather is doing.
02 · BENEFIT
FSI screens and awnings seal against wind-driven rain. The space stays dry and usable when October arrives.
03 · BENEFIT
Every system is custom manufactured to your exact dimensions. No gaps. No exposed hardware. Looks like it was designed in because it was.
04 · BENEFIT
Solar screen material and awning fabric cut UV and afternoon glare while keeping sight lines open. The space stays bright without cooking you out of it.
05 · BENEFIT
FSI specifies systems with limited lifetime warranties built for Pacific Northwest wind and moisture. No zipper tracks. No systems that fail after two seasons.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.

QUESTIONS?
MagnaTrack screens are available in solar mesh and privacy mesh configurations, each available in multiple openness factors that determine the tradeoff between outward visibility, light transmission, and bug-blocking density. Solar mesh screens allow more light transmission and outward visibility while blocking insects and reducing UV. Privacy mesh screens reduce visibility from outside while still allowing air circulation and bug protection. The specific mesh selection depends on the screen's orientation, the desired light level inside the screened space, and the homeowner's preference for privacy versus view-through. FSI presents the mesh options with actual samples during the consultation and recommends the appropriate specification based on the site's sun orientation and the intended use of the screened space.
Yes — Furrion motorized awnings can be integrated with smart home platforms for app-based, voice-controlled, and automated operation. The motor system is compatible with major smart home integration platforms. Common integrations include sunset deployment automation, weather-triggered retraction when wind sensors detect unsafe conditions, and scene-based operation where the awning deploys as part of an outdoor entertainment scene alongside lighting and audio. FSI handles the smart home integration as part of the awning installation where integration is included in the scope. Customers who have existing smart home systems should raise integration requirements during the consultation so the installation wiring is designed to accommodate the control connection from the start.
Yes — a Furrion motorized awning can be added to any exterior wall or soffit that has adequate structural backing at the mounting point and access to electrical power for the motor. FSI assesses the mounting surface during a site visit before any proposal is written. The key requirements are a structural wood member or masonry surface at the mounting height to accept the mounting hardware load, and a power source within reasonable distance of the motor housing. Most residential exterior walls have adequate backing at standard floor and ceiling heights. Commercial applications may require different structural assessment depending on the exterior wall assembly. The awning fabric and arm dimensions are specified to the available extension width during the design consultation.
Yes — FSI can scope a phased project and has completed multi-phase engagements where the pergola and deck are built in one year and the kitchen, technology, and lighting are added in a subsequent phase. Phasing works best when it is planned from the beginning rather than decided after the first phase is complete. Planned phasing means the first phase is designed with the future phases in mind — the deck is engineered for the kitchen weight, the pergola framing includes the cable channels for future technology, and the structural footprint accommodates the kitchen dimensions. Unplanned phasing — where the homeowner decides to add a kitchen to an existing pergola that was not designed for it — often requires modifications to the existing work that would have been unnecessary if phasing had been planned at the start. Contact FSI during the initial consultation to discuss how phasing can work for your project and timeline.
Yes — MagnaTrack motorized screens are specifically designed to integrate with Azenco pergola structures, and FSI installs both systems. The pergola provides the overhead coverage and structural frame; MagnaTrack screens enclose the sides of the space, converting an open covered patio into a three-season or four-season outdoor room. FSI scopes both systems in a single proposal, ensuring screen openings are sized and specified to the pergola dimensions before any materials are ordered. Planning both from the start ensures the screen mounting tracks are integrated cleanly into the structure rather than surface-mounted after completion. Most FSI customers who install an R-BLADE also add MagnaTrack screens. Contact FSI to schedule a consultation to scope both systems together.
