SERVICES / OUTDOOR TECHNOLOGY
FSI installs outdoor displays, audio, and smart home integration for Puget Sound homeowners. Wired during construction. Controlled from one place.

the difference
Cables on the outside of the frame. A TV not rated for outdoor use. Speakers in the wrong spots. This is what happens when technology gets handed off to a sub who was never on site during the build. FSI scopes the full technology layer with the structure. Everything is concealed, integrated, and controlled from one place.

Not every product sold for outdoor use is built for the Pacific Northwest. FSI specifies displays, speakers, and control systems that hold up in cold, wet conditions and perform the way your investment deserves.

Your outdoor display should still work in two years.
Standard indoor TVs have no UV protection, no weatherproofing, and limited brightness for daylight viewing. They fail outdoors within two seasons. FSI specifies outdoor-rated displays only because the display needs to survive direct moisture, temperature swings, and Pacific Northwest UV exposure.
Every display is matched to your space's sun exposure and viewing angles before it is ordered. You get a screen specified for where it is going, not just one that fits the budget.

Your outdoor audio should cover the full space, not just one corner.
Speakers mounted after the structure is finished end up in the wrong spots. The result is one loud corner and dead zones across the rest of the space. FSI positions speakers for even coverage across the full footprint and wires everything during construction.
Patio ceiling speakers, landscape in-ground speakers, amplifier setup, and smart home integration are all handled by one team. No exposed cable runs. No mismatched apps. Everything integrated before FSI leaves.

Your outdoor space should be controlled from the same app you already use.
Five separate systems from five separate vendors is not smart home integration. It is five apps and five remotes. FSI integrates every outdoor component into some of the top smart home platforms—Lutron, Josh ai, Control4, Bond, or Sonos. Don't currently have a smart home system? FSI helps you find the right solution to fit your needs.
Screens, audio, lighting, and heaters all run from one interface. FSI handles the full integration in-house because the outdoor AV team and the smart home team are the same people.
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET
Available bundled with a new build or as a standalone install on an existing structure.
01 · BENEFIT
Most contractors install indoor TVs outdoors. They fail within two seasons. FSI specifies outdoor-rated displays only. Matched to your sun exposure and viewing angles before anything is ordered.
02 · BENEFIT
Speakers positioned for even coverage across the full space. Not one loud corner. Every speaker wired during construction. No exposed cable runs after the fact.
03 · BENEFIT
Control4, Savant, Lutron, Crestron, Sonos. Every outdoor system in one platform. Screens, audio, and lighting controlled from the same interface you use indoors. FSI handles the full integration in-house.
From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, FSI manages every trade and every detail of your outdoor space.
01 / 03
Most contractors build one piece of the space. FSI can design and build the entire outdoor room — pergola, kitchen, screens, heaters, lighting, and AV — as one cohesive system, coordinating with vetted contractors if needed.
02 / 03
No contractor coordination. No missed handoffs. No blame-shifting when something does not fit. FSI manages every trade, employs the people doing the work, or subs out to vetted partners.
03 / 03
FSI has been operating in this market since 2005. This climate, these jurisdictions, these materials. Not a new dealer figuring it out. A team with over 340 completed projects.
From First Call to Finished Space

Hosting crowds? Movie nights? Background music and lighting only? FSI asks the right questions to specify the right system for how you actually use the space.

Every component specified before anything is ordered. Display placement, speaker positioning, lighting zones, and smart home integration all mapped out. You see the full plan first.

Complete pricing for every component. Bundled with the main project or standalone. One price. No surprises.

Every component installed, wired, and integrated with your smart home. No exposed cables. No mismatched apps. One commissioned system before FSI leaves.

Every system activated before FSI leaves. App setup confirmed. Sound, screens, and smart controls all running from one place.
QUESTIONS?
Concealment of cable runs is a non-negotiable quality standard for FSI's technology installations. When technology is planned during the build, every cable run — HDMI, speaker wire, power, control wiring — is laid inside the pergola structural channels and framing before the finish is applied. The cables disappear into the structure and are not visible in the completed installation. When technology is being retrofitted to an existing structure, FSI identifies the lowest-visibility path for any runs that cannot be concealed inside the structure — typically routing along the inside of a beam rather than the outside face, using color-matched conduit where open surface runs are unavoidable, and locating access points in low-visibility positions. FSI does not accept surface-mount cable runs across the face of a pergola as an acceptable outcome.
Most complete outdoor living projects take eight to sixteen weeks from design approval to final walkthrough. The variance is driven by permit processing timelines which vary by jurisdiction and season, material lead times where Azenco systems typically run four to eight weeks from order to delivery, and scope complexity. FSI provides a complete project schedule when the proposal is approved so you know the start date, the major milestones, and the completion target before any deposit is collected. For spring installation targets — the most in-demand period in the Puget Sound market — consulting with FSI in fall or winter provides enough lead time to complete the design, permitting, and material ordering without pushing the installation into summer.
Complete outdoor living projects range from $50,000 to $150,000 or more depending on scope, material selections, and system complexity. A project with a standard R-BLADE pergola, MagnaTrack screens, and outdoor technology — no kitchen — sits in the lower portion of that range. A project that adds a full custom outdoor kitchen with premium appliances, extensive stone work, and a full technology integration package sits at the higher end. FSI does not provide phone estimates or ballpark ranges for complete packages — the scope is too variable to quote without seeing the space. Contact FSI to schedule a free outdoor consultation. FSI's team visits the property, walks the space with you, and produces a complete written proposal covering every trade and every line item before any decision is made.
R-BLADE add-ons available through FSI include: MagnaTrack motorized screen enclosure systems that convert the covered space into a three-season room, LED recessed lighting and LED strip lighting integrated into the pergola beam soffit, fan beam fixtures that combine airflow with integrated LED, privacy wall panels in glass or aluminum louver configurations, infrared heaters from Infratech and Bromic in ceiling-mount or post-mount configurations, outdoor TV installation with concealed cable runs, and patio and landscape speaker systems. Most FSI customers add at least screens and lighting to the base pergola installation — the combination of overhead coverage, screen enclosure, and LED lighting is what creates an outdoor room that is genuinely usable year-round.
FSI installs Infratech and Bromic infrared heaters, FX Luminaire and Dauer outdoor lighting fixtures, and outdoor-rated AV equipment specified by use case including outdoor-rated TVs, weather-rated speakers, and amplifier equipment appropriate for the installation environment. FSI does not maintain a fixed product catalog — equipment is specified to each project's sun exposure, mounting configuration, smart home integration requirements, and aesthetic goals. The brand and model selection conversation happens during the design consultation, where FSI presents the appropriate options for the specific installation conditions. Customers who already have a preference for a specific brand or product are welcome to bring that into the conversation.
